 Your new home in Barber Junction is just steps away from the newest addition to Boise's 'Ribbon of Jewels'! 'Ribbon of Jewels' refers to a number of Boise parks named after prominent and influential women in our city's history, past and present. Alta Harris Park is the newest jewel to join the crown. This park is named after Alta Harris, who, along with her husband, Dallas, operated the Producers Lumber Company, as well as a ranch, in East Boise. What we know today as 'Harris Ranch' is named after these two and their enterprises. Alta Harris Park will be located along Eckert Road, and once complete will feature soccer fields, ponds, pickle ball courts, a bocce ball court, a playground, trails, a garden, and lots of parking! This 20-acre park is still in development, but is sure to live up to the 'Ribbon of Jewels' name!
